Sandi Oh

Sandi Oh

Sandi Oh returns to SYO 20 years after she first joined the SYO family prior to the SYO Philharmonic tour to Tasmania in 2001 – as a musician. This full circle return to an organisation that proved formative both musically and socially, feels inevitable.

Following this entrée into SYO life, Sandi went on to play in SYO (flagship) for several years, participating in a multitude of domestic tours, and international tours to Spain/Portugal, and Italy.

Sandi completed her Bachelor of Music (Performance) and Bachelor of Arts at UNSW studying violin under Evan Elsley. Since completing her study she has spent many years playing and teaching in Sydney. Sandi has influenced many young string players via her warm and effective violin teaching and extensive conducting of ensembles throughout Sydney schools.

Sandi currently conducts and teaches at St Scholastica’s College in Glebe, and is the Coordinator of Strings at St Andrew’s Cathedral School.
