Orchestras

SYO orchestras rehearse weekly and are selected through an audition process that opens once a year in July. You can see a guidance on our orchestra's levels here. The 2022 audition process has already concluded.

Depending on your instrument and orchestra of interest, there may be late positions available. After you fill your form, a team member will contact you if there are any available positions for your indicated preferences.

Summer School

The SYO Summer School program is a holiday program open to all musicians. It is a week of improving music skills, learning new techniques and making friends.

In 2022, our Summer School has been postponed and will now be a Winter School - held from July 11 to 16. Read more and apply here.
HSC Winter and Summer School

HSC Summer and Winter School are preparatory programs for musicians in Years 10-12 taking HSC Music 2/ Extension.

Applications are now open for the HSC Winter School, which will be held from July 11 to 15. Read more and apply here.

In addition to our holiday HSC programs, we have an annual open musicianship programs which are also suitable for musicians preparing for HSC examinations. These courses start on February 5, so there is still time to enrol! Read more and apply here.
